इति सञ्चिन्त्य दाशार्हो वत्सान्सवयसानपि । सर्वानाचष्ट वैकुण्ठं चक्षुषा वयुनेन स: ॥ ३८ ॥

iti saṣcintya dāśārho vatsān sa-vayasān api sarvān ācaṣṭa vaikuṇṭhaṁ cakṣuṣā vayunena saḥ

Synonyms

iti saṣcintya thinking in this way ; dāśārhaḥ Baladeva ; vatsān the calves ; sa vayasān — along with His companions ; api also ; sarvān all ; ācaṣṭa saw ; vaikuṇṭham as Śrī Kṛṣṇa only ; cakṣuṣā vayunena with the eye of transcendental knowledge ; saḥ He (Baladeva) .

Translation

Thinking in this way, Lord Balarāma was able to see, with the eye of transcendental knowledge, that all these calves and Kṛṣṇa’s friends were expansions of the form of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.

Thinking in this way, Lord Balarāma was able to see, with the eye of transcendental knowledge, that all these calves and Kṛṣṇa's friends were expansions of the form of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. KB 10.13.38 Thus Balarāma understood that all those boys and calves were only expansions of Kṛṣṇa.

Purport

Every individual is different. There are even differences between twin brothers. Yet when Kṛṣṇa expanded Himself as the boys and calves, each boy and each calf appeared in its own original feature, with the same individual way of acting, the same tendencies, the same color, the same dress, and so on, for Kṛṣṇa manifested Himself with all these differences. This was Kṛṣṇa’s opulence.

"Well, having concluded in this way, let me test it by looking with my eye of knowledge (vayunena caksusa)." By Krsna’s will the fourth portion of maya departed, and he was able to see the form of Krsna in each of the boys and calves.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

The ending on savayasān is poetic license. Vaikuṇṭham means a form completely devoid of limitation. By inquisitive knowledge (vayunena) he saw all the calves and boys to be unlimited Kṛṣṇa. His knowledge was the filled with special prema. Dāśārhaḥ means that he was born in the Yadu family as the brother of Kṛṣṇa.
