Translation
In Vṛndāvana, the loud sound of waterfalls covered the crickets’ noise, and clusters of trees constantly moistened by spray from those waterfalls beautified the entire area.

In Vṛndāvana there are many falls which are always pouring water, and the sound is so sweet that it covers the sound of the crickets. And because water flows all over, the forest always looks very green and beautiful.

This and the following three verses describe how Vṛndāvana manifested the features of spring, even during the summer season.

In four verses the similarity of summer to spring is described. During the summer in Vrndavana, the sound of waterfalls (nirjahrana nirhrada) covered the sound of the crickets. It was decorated with groups of trees constantly touched by drops of water from the waterfalls.

Five verses describe the forest. The verb is in verse 8: Kṛṣṇa entered the forest. However the verses will be analyzed separately for clarity. Yatra or “in Vṛndāvana” should be understood for all the phrases. He entered the forest of Vṛndāvana where there were the sounds of waterfalls, echoing sounds of crickets, and trees with moist water drops. Or, there was the sound of crickets covered by the sound of waterfalls which gave the illusion of the monsoon season. Thus there was no sadness, only joy. There were decorations (maṇḍanam) made by groups of trees covered in moisture from the waterfalls. The past participle is also seen in another version (maṇḍitam). Sometimes the word maṇḍapaiḥ is also seen.
