वनं कुसुमितं श्रीमन्नदच्चित्रमृगद्विजम् । गायन्मयूरभ्रमरं कूजत्कोकिलसारसम् ॥ ७ ॥

vanaṁ kusumitaṁ śrīman nadac-citra-mṛga-dvijam gāyan mayūra-bhramaraṁ kūjat-kokila-sārasam

Synonyms

vanam the forest ; kusumitam full of flowers ; śrīmat very beautiful ; nadat making sounds ; citra variegated ; mṛga animals ; dvijam and birds ; gāyan singing ; mayūra peacocks ; bhramaram and bees ; kūjat cooing ; kokila cuckoos ; sārasam and cranes .

Translation

Flowers beautifully decorated the forest of Vṛndāvana, and many varieties of animals and birds filled it with sound. The peacocks and bees sang, and the cuckoos and cranes cooed.

Flowers beautifully decorated the forest of Vṛndāvana, and many varieties of animals and birds filled it with sound. The peacocks and bees sang, and the cuckoos and cranes cooed. KB 10.18.7 Vṛndāvana is such a nice place. Flowers are always blooming, and there are even various kinds of decorated deer. Birds are chirping, peacocks are crowing and dancing, and bees are humming. The cuckoos there sing nicely in five kinds of tunes.

The beauty (śrīman) is described. The forests were spread with unlimited blossoming flowers. Though it was summer, the qualities of spring manifested. Birds (dvijam) are mentioned and peacocks, though included among birds, are also mentioned to show a different type of beauty.
