vana-rājīr madhu-cyutaḥ
jala-dhārā girer nādād
āsannā dadṛśe guhāḥ

Lord Kṛṣṇa was very much pleased when passing through the Vṛndāvana forest by Govardhana Hill. On the bank of the Yamunā He saw all the trees decorated with beehives pouring honey. There were many waterfalls on Govardhana Hill, and their flowing made a nice sound. Kṛṣṇa heard them as He looked into the caves of the hill.

In the monsoon forests Krsna saw the joyful pulinda women. He saw honey flowing from the trees, waterfalls flowing from the mountains, and far off caves, which appeared to be close from the echoing sound.

Vanaukasaḥ refers to Pulindas and others. He saw caves because they were indicated by echoes, even though they were far away and covered by grass. Dadṛśe means dadarṣa.
