तदङ्गसङ्गप्रमुदाकुलेन्द्रिया: केशान् दुकूलं कुचपट्टिकां वा । नाञ्ज: प्रतिव्योढुमलं व्रजस्त्रियो विस्रस्तमालाभरणा: कुरूद्वह ॥ १७ ॥

tad-aṅga-saṅga-pramudākulendriyāḥ keśān dukūlaṁ kuca-paṭṭikāṁ vā nāṣjaḥ prativyoḍhum alaṁ vraja-striyo visrasta-mālābharaṇāḥ kurūdvaha

Synonyms

tat — with Him ; aṅga — saṅga — from the bodily contact ; pramudā — by the joy ; ākula — overflowing ; indriyāḥ — whose senses ; keśān — their hair ; dukūlam — dresses ; kuca — paṭṭikām — the garments covering their breasts ; vā — or ; na — not ; aṣjaḥ — easily ; prativyoḍhum — to keep properly arranged ; alam — capable ; vraja — striyaḥ — the women of Vraja ; visrasta — scattered ; mālā — their flower garlands ; ābharaṇāḥ — and ornaments ; kuru — udvaha — O most eminent member of the Kuru dynasty .

Translation

Their senses overwhelmed by the joy of having His physical association, the gopīs could not prevent their hair, their dresses and the cloths covering their breasts from becoming disheveled. Their garlands and ornaments scattered, O hero of the Kuru dynasty.

Their garlands and ornaments scattered, O hero of the Kuru dynasty. KB 10.33.17 When Kṛṣṇa touched the different parts of their bodies, the gopīs felt surcharged with spiritual energy. They could not adjust their loosened clothes, although they tried to keep them adjusted properly. Their hair and garments became scattered, and their ornaments loosened as they forgot themselves in the company of Kṛṣṇa.

Enjoying with Krsna the gopis became full of bliss. Their senses disturbed by the bliss, they could not arrange their disheveled bodices, hair, cloth, garlands or ornaments.

Because the gopīs’ lost control from intense joy, the rāsa dance slackened. Because of the great joy of associating with his limbs, their senses became confused. The symptoms are described: their hair, linen garments, and the cloth covering their bodices became disarrayed.

The symptoms are described: their hair, linen garments, and their upper cloth or their bodices or both became disarrayed. This was suitable because they were especially endowed with great prema (vraja-striyaḥ). This shows their great bliss. That is also indicated by the prefix pra in pramuda. You can understand this, hero of the Kurus. Or the Kuru dynsty is most fortunate, since you have a bhāva similar to the gopis’ bhāva which made them most successful.
