“So let us immediately begin by killing all the brāhmaṇas who are in charge of the Vedic knowledge, along with the great sages who are in charge of sacrificial ritualistic performances. Let us kill all the cows, which are the source of butter, which is so necessary for performing sacrifices. Please give us your permission to kill all these creatures.
Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)
Among these, killing the brahmana will bring about the end. Therefore he speaks this verse. " In the yajna ghee is necessary, and ghee comes from the cow. Therefore we should kill the cow."
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Though Viṣṇu is hidden, by killing his assistants he will be killed. We will make all attempts to kill the brāhmaṇas. The best dharma is that which crushes their dharma. O king! By your influence we can to this. The reason for killing the brāhmaṇas is explained. By killing them we kill the Vedas, austerity and sacrifice. The cows should be killed because they supply ghee for the sacrifices.
