yac-chaucenānutṛpyanti
pitaraḥ sāgnayaḥ surāḥ

Translation
I am simply an ordinary householder attached to ritual sacrifices, so please purify my home with the dust of Your lotus feet. By that act of purification, my forefathers, the sacrificial fires and the demigods will all become satisfied.

“My dear Lord, if You come, my home will be sanctified by the dust of Your lotus feet. The water emanating from the perspiration of Your lotus feet, namely the Ganges, purifies everyone, including the forefathers, the fire-god and all other demigods.

“Your houses will be protected by worship of the Pitṛs, the fire and the devatās.” Purify our houses with the dust from your feet. We are householders, constant engaged in harming others in five ways (by fire, sweeping, crushing, drowning and grinding). By purifying just once, they will all be continually satisfied (anutṛpyanti). By satisfying the Pitṛs and devatās, our household duties will be completed. Thus the houses will be successful.
