अथ तान्दुरभिप्रायान् विलोक्य बलकेशवौ क्रुद्धौ धन्वन आदाय शकले तांश्च जघ्नतु: ॥ २० ॥

atha tān durabhiprāyān vilokya bala-keśavau kruddhau dhanvana ādāya śakale tāṁś ca jaghnatuḥ

Translation

Seeing the guards coming upon Them with evil intent, Balarāma and Keśava took up the two halves of the bow and began striking them down.

Seeing the guards coming upon Them with evil intent, Balarāma and Keśava took up the two halves of the bow and began striking them down. KB 10.42.20 When They understood the sinister motives of the guards, They became angry, and taking up the two pieces of the broken bow, They began to beat down all of Kaṁsa’s caretakers.

Taking the two broken pieces of bow, they killed the guards.

Seeing the guards with evil natures (durabhirāyān) approach the two boys, becoming angry, took the bow and struck them. The word tān is repeated because it is in different statements.
