Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

After also killing a contingent of soldiers sent by Kaṁsa, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma left the sacrificial arena by its main gate and continued Their walk about the city, happily looking at the opulent sights. KB 10.42.21 While this turmoil was going on, Kaṁsa sent a small group of troops to assist the caretakers, but Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma fought with them also and killed them. After this, Kṛṣṇa did not proceed further into the sacrificial arena but went out the gate and proceeded toward Their resting camp. Along the way, He visited various places in Mathurā City with great delight.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

They killed the soldiers (balam) sent by Kaṁsa, or defeated the ability (balam) of Kaṁsa. They left from the gate of the arena and, seeing the wealth of the city, became joyful, and again wandered about casually in the city again.
