Translation
After Kṛṣṇa’s and Balarāma’s feet were bathed, the two Lords ate rice with milk. Then, although knowing what Kaṁsa intended to do, They spent the night there comfortably.

When Kṛṣṇa returned to His camp, He was taken care of by servants who washed His lotus feet, gave Him a nice seat and offered Him milk and palatable dishes. After taking supper and thinking of the next day’s program, He very peacefully took rest. Thus He passed the night there.

Servants washed Krsna and Balarama’s feet. They ate rice sprinkled with milk from dear cows with calves in Vraja, which had been placed by Yasoda on the stove in the cart. They slept soundly, though knowing that the next day Kamsa wanted to kill them. They slept soundly, not hearing the words of their fearful father Nanda, "O my children what have you foolishly done today? Why did you break the bow they were worshiping and then kill the guards? I do not know what angry Kamsa will do tomorrow. Why did I bring you two brothers here?"

Having had their feet washed by servants they ate rice mixed with milk, which had been prepared by Yaśodā for them eat in the evening. This had been kept in pots on stoves within the carts. Knowing that tomorrow Kaṁsa desired to arrange for the wrestling match in the arena amidst huge crowds in the stands, having heard this from others, they spent the night peacefully knowing that they would easily kill Kaṁsa. After killing the washer man and others they ate without bathing, only washing their feet since one must consider that killing sinful people was the highest dharma. One should give great respect to the glories of Mathurā: it is said that each inch of the place is a tīrtha and each foot is a temple. It was thus permissible that they bathed afterwards.

Knowing Kaṁsa’s evil intentions, they spent the night happily, since they were fearless and had seen the wealth of the city. Or they slept happily with the desire to kill the wrestlers in the arena amidst the crowd in the morning. They had a method of easily killing the demons. They had a desire to wrestle, like playing the cowherd boys. Niyuddham ātmano ‘bhiṣṭam: Kṛṣṇa liked to wrestle and welcomed the challenge. (SB 10.43.36)
