kālena vrajam acyutaḥ
priyaṁ vidhāsyate pitror
bhagavān sātvatāṁ patiḥ

Infallible Kṛṣṇa, the Lord of the devotees, will soon return to Vraja to satisfy His parents.

Here Uddhava begins to deliver Lord Kṛṣṇa’s message.

"O dear Uddhava! I have heard you are very intelligent, but now I see you are foolish because you have simply praised us. Oh, who is there in the three worlds more unfortunate than us, from whose house such a wonderful son has gone away? We are the object of scorn for all!"
Anticipating this statement, Uddhava says, "Acyuta (not falling from, not breaking his promise), will come very soon to Vraja. Functioning just as protector of the Yadus (satvanam patih), he will remain here, and fulfill all of your desires (priyam vidhasyate)."

But still Nanda and Yaśodā did not become peaceful. Rather, by thinking of Kṛṣṇa’s qualities when his excellence was praised, they became filled with pain. Seeing them in this state, Uddhava then spoke, touched by their agony. “He will return.” Unfailing in his promise (acyutaḥ), he will soon return and create happiness by continual association (priyam). He must create happiness because you are his parent. He is controlled by your great prema filled with parental love and acts as your son. He will respond appropriately to you who are his parents. ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham: as the surrender to me I respond to them. (BG 4.11) He will do this since, though he is Bhagavān, he is the protector of the devotees (sātvatām patiḥ), fulfilling their desires. Or though he is Bhagavān and even lord of the Yadus, he is controlled by your love.

Seeing that Nanda did not become peaceful but was full of pain because of affection arising from hearing the excellence of Kṛṣṇa, Uddhava pacifies him by confirming that Kṛṣna will return.
Kṛṣṇa does not fail to keep his word (acyutah). And in coming he will not be indifferent but will stay. He will stay for a long time and make you two happy. He will do this because you are his parents (pitroh). He is most merciful (bhagavān) and moreover the protector of the devotees (sātvatām patiḥ).
Or “Why will he not come now?” He must please his parents Vasudeva and Deavkī. He must protect the Yadus (sātvatām patiḥ) since he has appeared to help the devotees (bhagavān). He must finish up some remaining work.
