Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

The Supreme Lord Hari is certainly not your son alone. Rather, being the Lord, He is the son, Soul, father and mother of everyone. KB 10.46.42 “The Personality of Godhead is no one’s son; He is actually everyone’s father, mother and supreme controller. There is no doubt of this.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

"You should not think of the creator of the whole universe as your son, or the source of your happiness and suffering. And though he is the supreme lord, if you think of him as your son, then listen as I speak the truth." Then Uddhava speaks this verse. "He is not just your son. Whoever cultivates a sentiment of him as their son, he is their son. Anyone who cultivates him as the dear most, like the soul he becomes the dearmost. For those who think of him as father, he is father. Because he is the Lord, this is not unsuitable for him."

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Controlled by your intense prema, Kṛṣṇa is your son. Though he has gone elsewhere, he will come here. Though you think of him as your son with the mentality of a relationship of a son and father, he is not only your son but everyone’s son, since he is all ātmās. Not only is he a son but he is a father and mother as well. Because there is no prema in these relationships whoever, he does not fall under their control. This is explained in two verses. He is the Lord full of all powers (bhagavān) to people like us. He is the destroyer of all suffering (hariḥ). Or because of your prema which causes him to be your son, he is your son and not the son of everyone else, since he is Paramātmā (sarveṣām ātmā), the cause (pitā), the maintainer (mātā) and the giver of all results of action (īśvaraḥ).

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

Though Uddhava explained everything, he saw that Nanda was not believing because of his strong prema. He again speaks the same meaning. This person, the Lord (ayam īśvaraḥ), endowed with all powers (bhagavān), all attractive (hariḥ), is your son. He concludes this by seeing Nanda’s behavior as a father. He is not the son of Rohiṇi, Devakī or Vasudeva in that manner. Moreover, he is not just your son: he is dearest (ātmā), your protector (pītā) and most affectionate, like a mother. Or since he knows the essence of prema, he is not your son in the same way that he relates to all others. Do not lose faith in his coming.
