Translation
Then Lord Kṛṣṇa, wanting to have some things done, went to Akrūra’s house with Balarāma and Uddhava. The Lord also desired to please Akrūra.

After a while, Kṛṣṇa fulfilled His promise to visit Akrūra at his house. Akrūra was in relationship with Kṛṣṇa as His servitor, and Kṛṣṇa wanted to get some service from him. He went there accompanied by Lord Balarāma and Uddhava.

The previous incident of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s visit to Trivakrā’s house, and now His visit to Akrūra’s, gives a fascinating glimpse into the daily activities of Śrī Kṛṣṇa in Mathurā City.

With a desire to please Akrura, with a desire to engage him in service (kincit cikirsayan) (since the order of the master is pleasing to the servant), Krsna went to Akrura’s house.

Kṛṣṇa went to Akrūra’s house to fulfill Akrūra’s desires, just as he had done with Kubjā. Because of this similarity the two pastimes are narrated together. He went with Balarāma and Uddhava because he had previously promised (SB 10.41.17) to come along with Balarāma and because he should not do such activities independently, without Balarāma. Balarāma had also promised Yaśodā that he would accompany Kṛṣṇa everywhere to protect him. He went with Uddhava since he was dependent on Uddhava’s expert advice to comprehend certain affairs.

Kṛṣṇa went to Akrūra’s house to fulfill Akrūra’s desires, just as he had done with Kubjā. Because of this similarity, the two pastimes are narrated together. He fulfilled the previous request of Akrūra:
āgaccha yāma gehān naḥ sa-nāthān kurv adhokṣaja
sahāgrajaḥ sa-gopālaiḥ suhṛdbhiś ca suhṛttama
Come, let us go to my house with your elder brother, the cowherd men and your companions. O best of friends, O transcendental Lord, in this way please grace my house with its master. SB 10.41.12
Because they were dear to him Kṛṣṇa considered them equals. Thus he, with them, went to the house gloriously (pra- agāt). Akṛūra had remained all this time in his house making various arrangements with devotion, in expectation of the Lord’s coming. Since Akrūra did not directly witness the killing of Kaṁsa, he was eager to congratulate Kṛṣṇa now.
