Translation
My lord, I wish to hear how the immeasurably powerful Lord Kṛṣṇa took away His bride while defeating such kings as Māgadha and Sālva.

Devotees of Kṛṣṇa are always eager to hear about the transcendental activities of the Lord. His activities of fighting, kidnapping and running away from the battlefield are all transcendental, being on the absolute platform, and devotees take a transcendental interest in hearing of them. The pure devotee does not make the distinction that some activities of the Lord should be heard and others avoided. There is, however, a class of so-called devotees known as prākṛta-sahajiyās who are very much interested in hearing about Kṛṣṇa’s rāsa-līlā with the gopīs but not about His fighting with His enemies. They do not know that His bellicose activities and His friendly activities with the gopīs are equally transcendental, being on the absolute platform. All the transcendental pastimes of Kṛṣṇa described in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam are relished by pure devotees through submissive aural reception. They do not reject even a drop.
Purport
We should not think that Śrī Kṛṣṇa was actually afraid of Jarāsandha. In the very next chapter we will find that Śrī Kṛṣṇa easily defeats Jarāsandha and his soldiers. Thus we should never doubt the supreme prowess of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

I desire to hear the method by which Kṛṣṇa took Rukmiṇī. I have heard the general statement. Now describe the details. This is Śrīdhara Svāmī’s explanation. Since he had unlimited powers to take her immediately, he must have done this in pleasing manner.

I desire to hear the method by which Kṛṣṇa took Rukmiṇī. Plural is used to indicate humility, including all others present (we wish to hear). The reason is that is about Kṛṣṇa. You know this since your omniscient (bhagavan). Or I wish to hear about Kṛṣṇa who is your deity, full of the highest bliss, who has unlimited powers (amita-tejasaḥ). This indicates his valor, which is most sweet. Or I wish to hear about Kṛṣṇa, most clever, of unlimited power. Though capable of immediately stealing Rukimiṇī, he will do this with cleverness as a sweet pastimes.
