Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Drawing His sharp-edged sword, Pradyumna forcefully cut off Śambara's head, complete with red mustache, helmet and earrings. KB 10.55.24 When Śambarāsura was defeated in every respect, Pradyumna took his sharp sword and immediately cut off the demon’s head, which was decorated with a helmet and valuable jewels.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

He separated his head from the body, throwing it far away. The red moustache indicates Śambara’s terrifying nature. Because of the quickness of the action and vehemence, Śambara’s helmet and earrings were still in place.
