Translation
The supremely auspicious Lord then married Kālindī on a day when the season, the lunar asterism and the configurations of the sun and other heavenly bodies were all propitious. In this way He brought the greatest pleasure to His devotees.

Kālindī also returned with Kṛṣṇa to Dvārakā. After returning, Kṛṣṇa consulted many learned astrologers to find the suitable moment at which to marry Kālindī, and then He married her with great pomp. This marriage ceremony gave much pleasure to the relatives of both parties, and all of them enjoyed the great occasion.

The season and constellation were suitable for marriage (supuṇya) and the sun was strong by season (ūrjite), and moon and benefic planets were situated in beneficial constellations. Of course by his very nature Kṛṣṇa was most auspicious (parama-maṅgalaḥ). He chose this time only to teach the people. Or, by his own influence he made everything auspicious.

After coming to Dvārakā (atha) he married Kālindī. Or atha simply indicates auspiciousness. Thus auspiciousness is indicated. The constellations of the season were strong (ūrjite). Naturally they were auspicious but to teach the people, uttarāyaṇa, Māgha month etc. should be chosen. After the four months of monsoon during Mārgaśīrṣa month, after Kṛṣṇa returned to Dvārakā, with all its wealth, the marriage was performed, because Kṛṣṇa himself was most auspicious (parama-maṅgalaḥ). By his influence everything became auspicious. He gave bliss to Vasudeva and other relatives. He always gave bliss, but now, with the marriage to Kālindī he gave especially (vitanvan) the highest bliss.
