Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

So overcome by love that her throat choked up and her eyes filled with tears, Queen Kuntī remembered the many troubles she and her sons had endured. Thus she addressed Lord Kṛṣṇa, who appears before His devotees to drive away their distress. KB 10.58.8 Although Kuntīdevī was related to Kṛṣṇa by family ties, she knew immediately after meeting Him that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. She remembered the past calamities of her life and how by the grace of Kṛṣṇa she and her sons, the Pāṇḍavas, had been saved. She knew perfectly well that without Kṛṣṇa’s grace no one could have saved them from the fire “accident” designed by the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra. In a choked-up voice, she began to narrate before Kṛṣṇa the history of their life.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

She spoke to Krsna, the sight of whose limbs extinguishes all misery.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Remembering the many famous sufferings, such as Duryodhana administering poison, she was overcome with prema and then spoke to Kṛṣṇa. On seeing him a person destroys suffering in the heart, or who shows himself to destroy the devotees’ suffering. In either case this description is an affectionate scolding of the Lord by Śukadeva on remembering the Pāṇḍavas’ suffering. Actually, their suffering was created by the līlā-śakti with its variety of movements in order to increase the sthāyi-bhāva through the vyabhicāri-bhāvas like anticipated joy. Remembering those many sufferings, her suffering disappeared because Kṛṣṇa then appeared within her mind. Thus by remembering she was overcome with prema.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

Remembering the many famous sufferings of the relatives (kleśān), such as Duryodhana administering poison to Bhīma, with arousal of a feeling of helplessness, she was overcome with prema and then spoke to Kṛṣṇa. He now showed himself, not during the suffering but when they had attained a kingdom, after the destruction of suffering (kleśāpāyātma-darśanam). Or by showing himself, now no more suffering would occur in the future. She became joyful.
