Translation
The present owner of the cow said, “I don’t want anything in exchange for this cow, O King,” and went away. The other brāhmaṇa declared, “I don’t want even ten thousand more cows [than you are offering],” and he too went away.

Both brāhmaṇas, however, insisted that the cow was theirs and could not be taken back under any condition; neither of them agreed to exchange it for the 100,000 cows. Thus disagreeing with the King’s proposal, the two brāhmaṇas left the place in anger, thinking that their lawful possession had been usurped.

"I do not accept gifts from kings." Saying this, the brahmana gave up his cow and left.
The other brahmana refused also. "I do not want to give up this cow even for a hundred thousand that you offer, or even ten thousand more." He also left.

I will not accept anything else in exchange. He went away in fear of being forced to exchange the cow.
