Translation
Having long suffered the anxiety of separation, the cowherd men and their wives embraced Lord Balarāma. The Lord then offered respects to His parents, and they joyfully greeted Him with prayers.

The inhabitants of Vṛndāvana had been anxious to see Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma for a very long time. When Lord Balarāma returned to Vṛndāvana, all the cowherd boys and the gopīs had grown up; but still, on His arrival, they all embraced Him, and Balarāma embraced them in reciprocation. After this He came before Mahārāja Nanda and Yaśodā and offered His respectful obeisances. In response, Mother Yaśodā and Nanda Mahārāja offered their blessings unto Him.

Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī gives the following verse regarding this situation:
nityānanda-svarūpo ’pi
prema-tapto vrajaukasām
yayau kṛṣṇam api tyaktvā
yas taṁ rāmaṁ muhuḥ stumaḥ
“Let us repeatedly glorify Lord Balarāma. Although He is the original personality of eternal bliss, Nityānanda, He felt pained by His love for the residents of Vraja, and thus He went to see them, even at the cost of leaving Lord Kṛṣṇa.”

I praise again and again, Balrama who, though situated in eternal bliss, gave up even Krsna and went to Vraja because of the pain of separation. He was embraced by elder gopis the age of his mother. He greeted his parents, and they greeted him with words of blessing according to their parental love.

This verse describes their exchange of feelings. They embraced deeply with all their limbs, with tears and hairs standing on end because of their longing held for an extensive period. First he responded to his parents love appropriately. Within Vraja he met with the various cowherds, cowherd women, friends, elders, and also the priests. First meeting his parents he greeted them, and was embraced by them and received their blessings.
Purport (Sanatana Goswami)
He was embraced tightly (pari), even by the gopīs (eva), and by servants and priests (ca), because they suffered for a long time. Because of long separation and confusion they all embraced him. Then the proper behavior is described. He greeted his parents, since they thought of him as their son and he also thought of them as his parents.
