Translation
In various places citizens of the city came forward holding auspicious offerings for Lord Kṛṣṇa, and sinless leaders of occupational guilds came forward to worship the Lord.

While Lord Kṛṣṇa was thus passing on the road, at intervals some of the citizens, who were all rich, respectable and freed from sinful activities, presented auspicious articles to the Lord, just to offer Him a reception to the city. Thus they worshiped Him as humble servitors.

The businesses of the city are described. All the leaders were devoid of karmas on remembering him. They performed his worship (kṛṣṇāya).

At various places on the road the citizens gathered with auspicious items such as yogurt and rice, unlimited articles from their houses, in their hands and worshipped Kṛṣṇa, who attracts everyone, because they were pure hearted (hatainasaḥ) or they destroyed the sin of others. They performed worship of Kṛṣṇa or in order to attain Kṛṣṇa (kṛṣṇāya).
