O King (Parīkṣit) .
Translation
Then the highly cultured priests, the great Vedic authorities who had served as sacrificial witnesses, the specially invited kings, the brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas, śūdras, demigods, sages, forefathers and mystic spirits, and the chief planetary rulers and their followers — all of them, having been worshiped by King Yudhiṣṭhira, took his permission and departed, O King, each for his own abode.
Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)
Then the highly cultured priests, the great Vedic authorities who had served as sacrificial witnesses, the specially invited kings, the brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas, śūdras, demigods, sages, forefathers and mystic spirits, and the chief planetary rulers and their followers—all of them, having been worshiped by King Yudhiṣṭhira, took his permission and departed, O King, each for his own abode.
KB 10.75.25-26
Those persons who had participated in the Rājasūya sacrifice—including the most cultured priests, the brāhmaṇas who had assisted, the citizens of all the varṇas, and the kings, demigods, sages, saints and citizens of Pitṛloka—were all very much satisfied by the dealings of King Yudhiṣṭhira, and at the end they happily departed for their residences.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
After the bath and worship they went home. Mahāśīlāḥ means most worthy of worship. Loka-pālāḥ refers to the chief of the devatās such as Brahmā. In order, starting from the priests, he gave them permission to leave.
Purport (Sanatana Goswami)
After the bath and worship they went home. Mahāśīlāḥ means most worthy of worship. Loka-pālāḥ refers to the chief of the devatās such as Brahmā. Loka-pālas are mentioned separately from devatās, though included in them, because they were given special worship. Taking his permission, they departed to their abodes. O king! Śukadeva expresses satisfaction with the conclusion of the sacrifice.
