Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

"You are our maternal cousin, Kṛṣṇa, but You committed violence against my friends, and now You want to kill me also. Therefore, fool, I will kill You with my thunderbolt club. KB 10.78.5 “My dear Kṛṣṇa, after all, You are my maternal cousin, and I should not kill You in this way, but unfortunately You have committed a great mistake by killing my friend Śālva. Moreover, You are not satisfied by killing my friend; I know that You want to kill me also. Because of Your determination, I must kill You by tearing You to pieces with my club. Kṛṣṇa, although You are my relative, You are foolish.

Purport

The ācāryas have given the following alternate grammatical division of the third line of this verse: atas tvāṁ gadayā amanda, in which case Dantavakra says, “My dear Lord Kṛṣṇa, You are amanda [not foolish], and therefore with Your powerful club You will now send me back home, back to Godhead.” This is the inner meaning of this verse.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Dantavakra’s mother, Srutasrava, was the sister of Vasudeva. Thus he is Krsna’s cousin on his mother’s side (matuleya). "Though you are my Lord, you have now appeared as my cousin. It is proper that you desire to kill me, who is envious of his own cousin. Oh, intelligent one (amanda), striking me with your club Kaumodaki, which is like a thunderbolt, I will attain you (hanisye). Describing your club in this way is to attract the common people. Actually however, killing me, who in comparison am very insignificant, the thunderbolt club will reveal your personal strength."

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Dantavakra’s mother was Śrutadevī, sister of Vasudeva. Thus Kṛṣṇa was his cousin from his mother’s side (mātuleyaḥ). But you killed my friends. You desire to kill me. O fool (manda)! But there is another meaning. You desire to accept me, though I attack your friends. O intelligent one (amanda)! I will attain you by means of your Kaumadakī club, which shines like a diamond (vajra-kalpayā).

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

Dantavakra’s mother was Śrutadevī, sister of Vasudeva. Thus Kṛṣṇa was his cousin from his mother’s side (mātuleyaḥ). O Kṛsṇa, who took away the life of Śiśupāla, and black in color! The real meaning is O Kṛṣṇa, who appeared to display unlimited powers, who is directly bhagavān! I must pay my debt to my friends.
