अथ तैरभ्यनुज्ञात: कौशिकीमेत्य ब्राह्मणै: । स्‍नात्वा सरोवरमगाद् यत: सरयूरास्रवत् ॥ ९ ॥

Verse text

atha tair abhyanujṣātaḥ kauśikīm etya brāhmaṇaiḥ snātvā sarovaram agād yataḥ sarayūr āsravat

atha then ; taiḥ by them ; abhyanujṣātaḥ given leave ; kauśikīm to the Kauśikī River ; etya coming ; brāhmaṇaiḥ with brāhmaṇas ; snātvā bathing ; sarovaram to the lake ; agāt went ; yataḥ from which ; sarayūḥ the Sarayū River ; āsravat flows out .

Translation

Then, given leave by the sages, the Lord went with a contingent of brāhmaṇas to the Kauśikī River, where He bathed. From there He went to the lake from which flows the river Sarayū.

Then, given leave by the sages, the Lord went with a contingent of brāhmaṇas to the Kauśikī River, where He bathed. From there He went to the lake from which flows the river Sarayū. KB 10.79.9 After this incident, Lord Balarāma took permission from the brāhmaṇas assembled at Naimiṣāraṇya and, accompanied by other brāhmaṇas, went to the bank of the river Kauśikī. After taking His bath in this holy place, He proceeded toward the river Sarayū and visited the source of the river.
