narā nāryo ’mara-prabhāḥ
pratyagṛhṇan mahā-bhāgaṁ
gīta-vādyena bhūyasā

Translation
As he continued to ponder in this way, the beautiful men — and maidservants, as effulgent as demigods, came forward to greet their greatly fortunate master with loud song and instrumental music.

While the learned brāhmaṇa was considering this, a group of beautiful men and women with features resembling those of the demigods, accompanied by musical chanters, approached to welcome him. All were singing auspicious songs.
Purport
As explained by Ācārya Viśvanātha Cakravartī, the word
pratyagṛhṇan
(“they acknowledged in turn”) indicates that first Sudāmā accepted the servants within his mind, deciding “My Lord must want me to have them,” and in response to the visible change in his attitude, they approached him as their master.

Verifying that the servants had been given by the Lord, he decided to accept them. After that, they approached and responded by accepting him as their master (praty agrhnan).

“How did these persons with divine forms attain such glory though they were serving the brāhmaṇa who was so poor?” He was most fortunate. This astonished everyone. This had created their good fortunate.

He was most fortunate (mahā-bhāgavam) because of attaining such wealth or being a friend of the Lord. Or at this time he developed a special shining form.
