Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

In every city and town the Lord passed along the way, O King, the people came forward to worship Him with offerings of arghya water in their hands, as if to worship the risen sun surrounded by planets. KB 10.86.19 Lord Kṛṣṇa and the sages passed through many villages and towns, and everywhere the citizens would receive them with great respect and offer them articles in worship. To the citizens who came to see the Lord and all the assembled sages, it seemed as though the sun were present along with his various satellite planets.

Purport

Here the sages traveling with Kṛṣṇa on His chariot are likened to planets around the sun.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

O king! He addresses Parīkṣit of joy. Though the sages were effulgent, in proximity to the Lord their effulgence dulled.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

The people came to the Lord who had arrived (ayantam). The present tense is used to indicate that he suddenly came. O king! He addresses Parīkṣit of joy. Another version has nṛpāḥ: local kings also approached the lord. He was like the sun rising with the planets. This is adbhūta upamā: when the sun rises the planets cannot be seen. But now the sages, by proximity to the lord, became very effulgent.
