Translation
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: After hearing Śrutadeva speak these words, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who relieves His surrendered devotees’ distress, took Śrutadeva’s hand in His own and, smiling, spoke to him as follows.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, is naturally very much affectionately inclined to His devotees. When He heard Śrutadeva’s prayers of pure devotion, He was very much pleased and immediately caught his hands and addressed him thus:

Ācārya Viśvanātha comments that Lord Kṛṣṇa took Śrutadeva’s hand and smiled as a gesture of friendship, to tell Him, “Yes, you know the truth about Me, and I also know all about you. So now I will tell you something special.”

He took Srutadeva’s hand in his, indicating that he would drown him in sakhya rasa when he would hear the Lord’s clever words. The Lord laughed. "You have clearly understood all about me. What should I, knowing all about you, teach you?"

Hearing his words with great attention (upa—karṇya), the Lord smiled in joy (pra—hasan) and spoke, since he takes away all suffering of his devotees (praṇātārti-hā), even if they only offered respects once. Therefore he took Śrutadeva’s hand. The word ha indicates joy.
Purport (Sanatana Goswami)
Hearing his words with great attention (upa—karṇya), the Lord smiled in joy (pra—hasan) and spoke, since he takes away all suffering of his devotees or all jīvas (praṇātārti-hā), or those who only offered respects once, because he is directly the supreme Lord (bhagavān). Or he was Kṛṣṇa, who manifests unlimited powers. He took Śrutadeva’s hand in his. This shows his special affection for him.
