ब्रह्मंस्तेऽनुग्रहार्थाय सम्प्राप्तान् विद्ध्यमून् मुनीन् ।
सञ्चरन्ति मया लोकान् पुनन्त: पादरेणुभि: ॥ ५१ ॥

brahmaṁs te ’nugrahārthāya
samprāptān viddhy amūn munīn
saṣcaranti mayā lokān
punantaḥ pāda-reṇubhiḥ

Translation
The Supreme Lord said: My dear brāhmaṇa, you should know that these great sages have come here just to bless you. They travel throughout the worlds with Me, purifying them with the dust of their feet.

“My dear Śrutadeva, all these great sages, brāhmaṇas and saintly persons have been very kind to you by personally coming here to see you. You should consider this opportunity to be a great fortune for you. They are so kind that they are traveling with Me, and wherever they go they immediately make the whole atmosphere as pure as transcendence simply by the touch of the dust of their feet.

Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī explains that Lord Kṛṣṇa thought Śrutadeva had shown too much reverence to Him and not enough to the sages, and thus He turned the
brāhmaṇa’s
attention to them.

"I have heard you praise me, but not the brahmanas accompanying me. Being the worshiper of the brahmanas, I will praise the brahmanas myself, to teach devotion to brahmanas. But you should praise me, while I should praise the brahmanas." This is Krsna’s intention. Addressing Srutadeva as a brahmana he indicates that Srutadeva being of the same caste as the sages does not have to give as much respect as he does.

Embarrassed by being praised, since the Lord is the crest jewel among the well-mannered, with great affection for his devotees, Kṛṣṇa gave respect to the bhakti of his devotees and taught the method by which Śrutadeva could attain his desires. O brāhmaṇa, you are the form of the Vedas. You should know this. Know that the sages have come on their own (sam—prāptān), along with me, just to give mercy to you. “You have personally come. The sages’ coming is more than necessary.” They wander with me in their hearts and sometimes along with me (mayā). The meaning is as if the word saha were present. Saha yoge pradhāne (Pāṇini 2.3.19) I am dependent on them.

Embarrassed by being praised, since the Lord is the crest jewel among the well-mannered, with great affection for his devotees, Kṛṣṇa gave respect to the bhakti of his devotees and taught the method by which Śrutadeva could attain his desires. O brāhmaṇa, you are the form of the Vedas. You should know this. Know that the sages have come on their own (sam—prāptān), along with me, just to give mercy to you. “Are the sages not ātāmārāmas? What use are they?” They wander with me in the worlds, purifying them. Or they wander with my deity form, to relieve the pain of separation. They are the best devotees, not ātmārāmas.
