Translation
As Gandharvas joyfully sang His praises to the accompaniment of mṛdaṅga, paṇava and ānaka drums, and as professional reciters known as Sūtas, Māgadhas and Vandīs played vīṇās and recited poems praising Him, Lord Kṛṣṇa would play with His wives in the water. Laughing, the queens would squirt water on Him with syringes, and He would squirt them back. Thus Kṛṣṇa would sport with His queens in the same way that the lord of the Yakṣas sports with the Yakṣī nymphs.

When Lord Kṛṣṇa was engaged in such enjoyment, the Gandharvas and professional musicians would glorify Him with melodious musical concerts, accompanied by kettledrums, mṛdaṅgas and other drums, along with stringed instruments and brass bugles, and the whole atmosphere would change into a greatly festive celebration. In a festive mood, the wives of the Lord would sometimes sprinkle water on the His body with a syringelike instrument, and the Lord would similarly wet the bodies of the queens. When Kṛṣṇa and the queens engaged themselves in these pastimes, it seemed as if the heavenly king Yakṣarāja were engaged in pastimes with his many wives. (Yakṣarāja is also known as Kuvera and is considered the treasurer of the heavenly kingdom.) When the wives of Lord Kṛṣṇa thus became wet, their breasts and thighs would increase in beauty a thousand times, and their long hair would fall down to decorate those parts of their bodies. The beautiful flowers placed in their hair would fall, and the queens, seemingly harassed by the Lord’s throwing water at them, would approach Him on the plea of snatching the syringelike instrument. This attempt would create a situation wherein the Lord could embrace them as they willingly approached Him. Upon being embraced, the wives of the Lord would feel on their mouths a clear indication of conjugal love, and this would create an atmosphere of spiritual bliss.

Krsna was soaked in water from the water guns (recakaih) operated by the queens. They are compared to the yaksis because of their similar ferocity.

Kṛṣṇa was praised by Gandharvas playing instruments to accompany their singing and by bards reciting Purāṇas with accompaniment of vīṇās. There was also a screen around the water (so they could not see the playing). The wives and Kṛṣṇa played in the water using syringes. Kṛṣṇa never failed to be at the side of each one of them (acyutaḥ). To show their boldness they are compared to Kuvera and his women.

He was praised by singers as excellent as Gandarvas or, sometimes the devatās also came and praised him. Vadayadbhiḥ means by musicians. He was praised by all of them. Sprinkled by syringes he played with the women. He (acyutaḥ) was at the side of each woman. An example is given to show how one person played with many women. He was like Kuvera playing with many yakṣa women.
