Translation
Among priests I am Vasiṣṭha Muni, and among those highly situated in Vedic culture I am Bṛhaspati. I am Kārtikeya among great military leaders, and among those advancing in superior ways of life I am the great personality Lord Brahmā.

Among priests, I am Vasiṣṭha Muni, and among those skilful in the Vedas, I am Bṛhaspati. I am Kārtikeya among military leaders, and among those who are outstanding, I am the great personality Brahmā.
Among those knowing the Vedas, I am Bṛhaspati. Among leaders of troops, I am Skanda. Among the best, I am Brahmā (ajaḥ).
