jṣātīnāṁ nidhanaṁ mithaḥ
saṅkarṣaṇasya niryāṇaṁ

Translation
O driver, go to Dvārakā and tell Our family members how their loved ones destroyed one another. Also tell them of the disappearance of Lord Saṅkarṣaṇa and of My present condition.

O driver, go to Dvārakā and tell our family members about the mutual destruction of their relatives, the disappearance of Saṅkarṣaṇa and my condition of unmanifest pastimes.
Though the chariot was sent to Vaikuṇṭha, the charioteer was not sent to Vaikuṇṭha. This arrangement was made in order that Dāruka would inform others of the present situation, and that Dāruka, who had come from Vaikuṇṭha, [Note: The form of Dāruka from Vaikuṇṭha seems to be an aṁśa of Dāruka, just as the aṁṣa of Kṛṣṇa, Viṣṇu, came from Vaikuṇṭha. ] would enter into the unmanifest pastimes in Dvārakā on seeing that in Dvārakā there was an increase in prema with all the eternal associates such as Uddhava. Dāruka should inform others of the Lord’s condition—that he would be performing unmanifest pastimes.
Purport
Lord Kṛṣṇa sent His chariot driverless back to Vaikuṇṭha, along with the horses and weapons, because the chariot driver, Dāruka, had some final service to do on earth.
