Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

O Parīkṣit! Dāruka delivered the full account of the destruction of the Vṛṣṇis, and upon hearing this, the people became deeply distraught in their hearts and stunned with sorrow. Feeling the overwhelming pain of separation from Kṛṣṇa, beating their heads, they went to the place where their relatives lay dead. The portions of the eternal associates Pradyumna, Aniruddha and others had previously gone from Dvārakā to Prabhāsa. Portions of Devakī, Rohinī and other eternal associates then went to Prabhāsa on hearing the news. The main portions of Devakī and others remained in Dvārakā, not visible to the eyes of common people.
