द्रव्यक्रियाकारकाख्यं धूत्वा यान्त्यपुनर्भवम् ॥ ३८ ॥

yogino malam ātmanaḥ
dravya-kriyā-kārakākhyaṁ
dhūtvā yānty apunar-bhavam

Translation
By worship of this subtle form of the Vedas, O brāhmaṇa, mystic sages cleanse their hearts of all contamination caused by impurity of substance, activity and doer, and thus they attain freedom from repeated birth and death.

By worship of this subtle form of the Vedas, O brāhmaṇa, mystic sages cleanse their hearts of all contamination of object, activity and doer, and thus they attain freedom from repeated birth and death.
By worshipping this sound the sages destroy the contamination known as objects (adhibhūta), actions (adhyātma) and doers (adhidaiva).
