The luminaries in outer space disappeared due to the sky’s being overcast with masses of clouds, which were accompanied by lightning and thunder. The sky rained pus, hair, blood, stool, urine and bones.

Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

The sky became devoid of constellations because of the mass of clouds filled with thunder and lightning and which rained puss, hair, blood stool and urine continuously. From this description it is understood that the Lord, absorbed in the pleasure of fighting, went beyond the auspicious time indicated by Brahmā.
