नमस्ते पृश्निगर्भाय वेदगर्भाय वेधसे ।
त्रिनाभाय त्रिपृष्ठाय शिपिविष्टाय विष्णवे ॥ २६ ॥

namas te pṛśni-garbhāya
veda-garbhāya vedhase
tri-nābhāya tri-pṛṣṭhāya
śipi-viṣṭāya viṣṇave
Synonyms
namaḥ te

I offer my respectful obeisances unto You

garbhāya — who formerly lived within the womb of Pṛśni (Aditi in her previous birth)

garbhāya — who always remain within Vedic knowledge

who are full of knowledge

nābhāya — within the stem growing from whose navel live all the three worlds

pṛṣṭhāya — who are transcendental to the three worlds

unto the all-pervading Supreme Personality of Godhead .
Translation
I offer my respectful obeisances unto You, the all-pervading Lord Viṣṇu, who have entered the cores of the hearts of all living entities. All the three worlds reside within Your navel, yet You are above the three worlds. Formerly You appeared as the son of Pṛśni. To You, the supreme creator, who are understood only through Vedic knowledge, I offer my respectful obeisances.

I offer my respectful obeisances to you, Viṣṇu, who appeared in the womb of Pṛśni, [Note: The Lord appeared from Pṛśni, Aditi and Devakī to fulfill his promise.] within whom reside the Vedas and the three worlds. I offer respects to you who are sacred knowledge, who are situated above the three worlds, and who have entered the jīvas as antaryāmī.
The Lord has the three worlds in his navel. He is situated above the upper, middle and lower planets, since he dwells in Vaikuṇṭha (tri-prṣṭhāya). Śipi means animals or jīvas. The Lord has entered the jīvas as antaryāmī.
