rodasyoḥ sarvato diśam
nigṛhyamāṇe ’sura-patau
viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā

Translation
When Bali Mahārāja was thus arrested by Lord Viṣṇu, who is the most powerful, there was a great roar of lamentation in all directions throughout the upper and lower planetary systems of the universe.
