पञ्चमो रैवतो नाम मनुस्तामससोदर: । बलिविन्ध्यादयस्तस्य सुता हार्जुनपूर्वका: ॥ २ ॥

paṣcamo raivato nāma manus tāmasa-sodaraḥ bali-vindhyādayas tasya sutā hārjuna-pūrvakāḥ

Synonyms

paṣcamaḥ — the fifth ; raivataḥ — Raivata ; nāma — by the name ; manuḥ — Manu ; tāmasa — sodaraḥ — the brother of Tāmasa Manu ; bali — Bali ; vindhya — Vindhya ; ādayaḥ — and so on ; tasya — his ; sutāḥ — sons ; ha — certainly ; arjuna — Arjuna ; pūrvakāḥ — heading all the sons .

Translation

The brother of Tāmasa Manu was the fifth Manu, named Raivata. His sons were headed by Arjuna, Bali and Vindhya.
