यत्तु कामेप्सुना कर्म साहङ्कारेण वा पुन: ।
क्रियते बहुलायासं तद्राजसमुदाहृतम् ॥ २४ ॥

yat tu kāmepsunā karma
sāhaṅkāreṇa vā punaḥ
kriyate bahulāyāsaṁ
tad rājasam udāhṛtam

Translation
But action performed with great effort by one seeking to gratify his desires, and enacted from a sense of false ego, is called action in the mode of passion.

24. That work is performed with desire for results, with little or great pride, with plenty of suffering, is called rajasic work.

That work which is performed with desire for results (kāma ipsunā), indicating a little pride, or with great pride (sāhaṅkārena) is called rajasic work.
