Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Iron bludgeon, three-pointed spear, sword and shield, pike, javelin—whatever weapon Rukmī picked up, Lord Hari smashed it to bits. KB 10.54.29 Rukmī, having run out of arrows, took assistance from swords, shields, tridents, lances and similar weapons used for fighting hand to hand, but Kṛṣṇa immediately broke them all in the same way.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Kṛṣṇa then destroyed other weapons of Rukmī which he took up successively. Instead of śakti-tomarau sometimes śakti-tomarāni is seen. This indicates that he took up many pikes and javelins. The paṭtiṣa and asi, and the śūla and śakti are slightly different in shape. The tomara is a type of śūla (lance). Whatever other weapons he was able to obtain were also destroyed. He who destroys the wicked (harih) destroyed them all. There is a version with ādadhyāt. The meter is irregular then. This version is accepted by many groups. There are various contrary versions in different traditions.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

Instead of śakti-tomarau sometimes śakti-tomarāni is seen. Paṭtiśa and asi, aas well as the śula and śakti are slightly different in shape. Tomara is a type of arrow. They are listed from heavy to light items. Other weapons were also used (yad yad). The Lord was he who is our master, controlled by his devotees (saḥ). Though he was capable of killing him immediately, he smashed his weapons.
