यम एतदुपाख्याय तत्रैवान्तरधीयत ।
ज्ञातयोऽहि सुयज्ञस्य चक्रुर्यत्साम्परायिकम् ॥ ५९ ॥

Verse text

yama etad upākhyāya
tatraivāntaradhīyata
jñātayo hi suyajñasya
cakrur yat sāmparāyikam

Synonyms

yamaḥ — Yamarāja in the form of a boy ; etat — this ; upākhyāya — instructing ; tatra — there ; eva — indeed ; antaradhīyata — disappeared ; jṣātayaḥ — the relatives ; hi — indeed ; suyajṣasya — of King Suyajṣa ; cakruḥ — performed ; yat — which is ; sāmparāyikam — the funeral ceremony.

Translation

After instructing all the foolish relatives of Suyajṣa, Yamarāja, in the form of a boy, disappeared from their vision. Then the relatives of King Suyajṣa performed the ritualistic funeral ceremonies.
